Where are you?

Have you ever wondered that? You know, wondered where you are? Not physically, of course, (hopefully not physically, anyway) but maybe mentally or spiritually? With your writing? With your career?

I have been thinking a lot about this lately. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's because I have been feeling really alone in my writing. (This could possibly be because I live in the Tooelies.) But still, look at the cyber world today. I shouldn't feel alone at all, so why do I?

Well, I think I've rambled enough. What do you do when you wonder where you are?

  1. I take a hot bath or . . . if I really want to forget. I do dishes and laundry. Yeah, I hear you groaning, glamorous huh?

  2. As long as I'm going forward, I feel good about my writing. It's when it's stalled that I wonder if I'm ever going to get "there" whatever "there" means :-).

PS My goal is to be done with my mss this week. Maybe we can celebrate and go to that new pastry place in Toolie :-)?? I'll call you.

  3. I constantly wonder where I am. In some ways, I think that's a good thing. It allows constant evaluation to make sure I'm moving forward. Or moving at all!

  4. Oh, yes. I feel that way all the time. I'm sorry you're feeling lonely. :( I think that happens a lot to us writers. Try reading some great books. Prayer always helps me too. *hugs*

  6. Oh yeah. I do feel like that. Usually meeting with other writers makes me feel better. That or chocolate.

  7. Hey Shari, you won Homework Helpers on my blog! You don't have your email address associated with your blogger account so you will need to email me your mailing address and which retailer you want me to buy it from. If I don't hear from you by Friday I will pass the prize on to the second place winner.

    Thanks for visiting and congrats!

  8. Oh, I just found your blog through Matt! Love it here.

What do I do? Hmm...I have four kids so not knowing where I am is a norm. Usually, when it all gets too much or when I feel lost, I'll write, read, chat with a friend, or pray.

  10. I think about it way too much, especially now that I've turned 40. Not much I can do about it but keep working!
