Beautiful Blogger

Thanks to the wonderful Elizabeth Mueller for this fabulous award. She rocks. You should go check out her blog.

Now, seven things about myself and seven awardees.

1. I have always lived in the windiest cities in the world. Why? Maybe fate dislikes me. I don't know.

2. I love being a mom, even when three of them are teenagers.

3. I miss teaching, but love being at home so I can write!

4. Horses petrify me, yet they're one of my favorite animals. My life is full of oxymorons.

5. I have the best bloggie friends, EVER!

6. My stack of books to read literally touches the ceiling. (If I stacked all of them.)

7. I never leave the house without a book and a notebook with pen.

The seven beautiful bloggers I chose because I really enjoy reading their blogs and they are all really cool people are:

Book Dreaming
Writer's Ally
Checkerboard Squares
Dreams of Quill and Ink
My Life in a Laptop
Pink Ink
My Poetry and Prose Place

Congratulations all and have a wonderful day!

  3. I see I didn't make your list of "beautiful bloggers". Obviously you either made a mistake or you think I need to wear a paper bag over my head in public.

Either way, I choose not to be offended. I'm humble like that.

  4. Thanks Shari! Hey, I used to be scared to death of horses, too. You ever feel up to it and we can go riding. We'll put you on a sweet one. Then you can see they're really just big babies :-).

  5. Thank you so much, Shari! *giant hugs* You're the best!

I love windy places unless I'm driving. Maybe I'd love it less if there was a lot of sand though. Hmmm.

  16. Congrats on the award. Elizabeth is awesome! I like the facts about yourself...and I'm jealous that you are close enough to go to the LDS storymakers conference. I thought about coming down, but it's not going to work out. Bummer. Thanks for coming over to my blog!

  21. These lists are fun--interesting little tidbits about you. If you love horses, you should take Jewel up on her offer. There's nothing like galloping through a field on a beautiful animal.

  24. Hi fellow crusader I am a new follower. So what windy cities do you live in/have lived in? I feel like I hit all the windy ones too - originally from Buffalo NY (lake effect winds) and now in Wyoming (Wyoming is just an indian word for wind). (not really, but most people buy that story). I love the way you put your life is full of oxymorons! Makes me want to hear more.

  30. Wow, we're so alike! All of your answers go for me as well, except I don't live in particularly windy cities (except the year I lived in Chicago), only two of my kids are teenagers, and I'm afraid of horses but they are NOT one of my favorite animals. Oh, and I don't bring a book with me when I leave the house unless I know I'm going to be waiting for a while - too lazy to carry it around. :)

It's nice to meet you, fellow crusader!

  31. Hello fellow crusader! What fun information. My oldest is 14, so we're heading in to those years.

I live in horse country, and I think they're gorgeous creatures. But I would be too scared (and lazy) to own one.

  32. I'll trade my ceiling stack of books for yours! Now there's a blogfest - we should all take photos of our piles of books...

  40. Wow this is a cool award! I totally agree with number seven. It doesn't matter if I'm late--I go back to get my book. And for number 6, giant stacks of books are amazing. I'd rather have too many books to read than not enough! :D
